The Pure Maintenance Difference

Why Choose VaPURE™ Mold Remediation?

Here's how Pure Maintenance's patented VaPURE™ mold remediation process works for our customers:
Effective

Independent third-party lab testing confirms our results. Air samples are taken in the treated environment after remediation and compared to outdoor levels.

Affordable

We can do jobs faster and without the unnecessary costs of extensive demolition and replacement work. These savings are passed on to you. Golden State Pure Maintenance provides free estimates and telephone consultations to help you know what to do first.

Fast

Old remediation methods can take weeks of demolition, rebuilding, and disruption. The VaPURE™ process is typically completed in a single visit, with no demolition or tear-outs required for most cases.

Less Invasive

Instead of quarantining off sections of your house with contractors walking in and out for weeks, we deploy the VaPURE™ treatment from a few small nozzles. After remediation, an antimicrobial coating is applied to inhibit the growth of mold and mildew on treated surfaces.

Accredited & Certified

VaPure Technology

The VaPURE™ Process

The Pure Maintenance VaPURE™ process uses positive air pressure to carry our sterilant throughout your home, reaching virtually every hard non-porous surface — including those traditional methods can't access: tops of cabinets, behind furniture, deep in crevices.

How It Works

The Process

Our approach to mold remediation can be broken into four simple steps.

Step 01 — We Find The Mold & Its Cause(s)

Our technicians will survey your property and identify the likely source(s) of the mold. They will use a range of advanced tools to identify the cause and find any visible mold.

Step 02 — We Treat The Mold

Our VaPURE™ system uses positive air pressure to carry peracetic acid throughout your home, reaching virtually every hard non-porous surface where it can act on mold.

Step 03 — We Apply An Antimicrobial Coating

An antimicrobial coating is applied to treated surfaces, forming a covalent bond. The coating inhibits the growth of mold and mildew on treated surfaces.

Step 04 — An Independent Lab Verifies Our Results

Air samples taken in various areas of your home are analyzed by independent, third-party laboratories to demonstrate quantitative markers of mold reduction.

Our patented VaPURE Technology Vs traditional "Wet Fog"

Dry Fog (Our Patented Technology)
Using positive air pressure, we fill your property with a microscopic dry-fog — small enough that it travels through the space rather than collapsing onto the first surface it touches. This means the sterilant reaches virtually every hard non-porous surface in the property, including the ones traditional spraying and wiping can't access: behind furniture, on top of cabinets, and deep in crevices.
Wet Fog or Mist (Other Mold Remediators)
Aside from the costly, time-consuming approach that relies on extensive demolition, disposal, and reconstruction, some modern methods use a ULV spray application - commonly called wet fog. The droplets are large enough to collapse onto the first surface they contact or burst before traveling far, resulting in patchy, unpredictable coverage. Surfaces tucked behind furniture, on top of cabinets, or deep in crevices often go untreated entirely - leaving mold in place to regrow.

The 4-Step Mold Remediation Process

Step 01

We Inspect The Property To Tailor Treatment

Data collection and assessment of the unique circumstances in the property.

Tailored Approach
Expert Property Inspection Carried Out
Every home is different and therefore the cause(s) of mold growth could be numerous. Mold can be caused by structural defects, resident behavior, or a nuanced blend of the two. Our technicians help you understand why your home has a mold problem, and we can tailor our treatment accordingly.
Detailed Data Gathering
Cutting-Edge Diagnostic tools
Our expert technicians use a suite of professional diagnostic tools, combined with their knowledge, to offer insights as unique as the conditions in your home. We'll use tools on a case by case basis ranging from hygrometers, protimeters, thermal imaging cameras, moisture mappers, and more.
Step 02

Whole Home Mold Treatment

Pure Maintenance's patented VaPURE™ process treats mold throughout the property, reaching virtually every hard non-porous surface — including those traditional spraying and wiping can't access.

Treatment of Mold
Application of Peracetic Acid (PAA) as Dry Fog
Our patented VaPURE™ process uses vapor peracetic acid (PAA) — the same class of sterilant used in food processing, hospital sterilization, and municipal water treatment. Positive air pressure carries the sterilant at microscopic particle size throughout the property, reaching virtually every hard non-porous surface. After treatment and proper ventilation, peracetic acid breaks down into vinegar, water, and oxygen — leaving no synthetic chemical residue.

Fogging: Stage 1 of 2

Sterilant Reaches Throughout
Comprehensive Coverage
The machine atomizes the sterilant to a microscopic particle size — small enough that it travels through the property under positive air pressure rather than collapsing onto the first surface it touches. This means the sterilant reaches virtually every hard non-porous surface in the space, including the ones traditional spraying and wiping can't access.

Fogging: Stage 1 of 2

Step 03

Whole Home Mold Prevention

The second stage of the fogging process. The application of our antimicrobial film to prevent mold returning.

Ongoing Protection
Covalent Bond
Next, we apply an antimicrobial coating that inhibits the growth of mold and mildew on the treated surfaces. The coating forms a covalent bond with the surface — chemically integrating with whatever it's applied to. It's invisible and imperceptible once adhered.

Fogging: Stage 2 of 2

Inhospitable to Mold
Inhibits Growth on Treated Surfaces
The antimicrobial coating forms a microscopic carbon-spike structure on the treated surface — like a bed of nails at the molecular level. Mold and mildew can't take hold on this structure, so the coating inhibits their growth on the treated surfaces.

Step 04

Third-Party Accredited Lab Proves Success

Don't just take our word for it. Our work is verified by independent scientists, and you're given full access to the report.

Proof Of Success
Independent Verification
Air samples are sent off to a third-party accredited lab. They analyze the spore count per m3 and the species of mold detected. The results are returned in the form of a written report, which we're always happy to talk you through.

Verifiable proof of a successful treatment

Independently verified
Verified by Lab Testing
In the unlikely event the report comes back and the air sample shows we've fallen short of our high standards: If there's still a clear mold issue present in the property, we will come back and repeat the mold remediation process at no additional cost. We know our mold treatment system works, and we'll make it right.

We'll address the mold and have the results independently verified.
